How it works

From a phone to a decision, in the open.

Here is the whole loop, including the parts where a human takes over. Screens below are demo mockups with synthetic data.

The guest side, once

  1. Make an account and add a photo.

Email or phone sign-in, plus a clear photo that staff will see at the door.

  2. Verify through a provider, if you choose.

Identity capture happens in a third-party provider’s own flow, not inside our app’s database. We get back a result: verified or not, how, when, and an age-threshold statement such as “21+”. Provider not yet selected

  3. Choose what venues can see.

Sharing details of an earlier check with another venue is a separate yes from you, not buried in a general agreement.

The door side, every night

  1. Show the pass.

A rotating code on a bright white panel, with your photo and a readable countdown.

  2. Staff scan.

The app checks that the pass is current, was issued to this person, and has not been revoked.

  3. Read the card.

Photo, name, age-threshold status, verification method and time, and the venue’s policy prompt, for example “Check physical ID.”

  4. Same night, next venue.

The second door can see a quiet line saying where and when you were checked earlier. Venue B’s own policy still applies. A prior admit is evidence, not a free pass.

  5. Staff decide and the app records it.

ADMIT, RECHECK ID, or DENY. The log shows who decided, when, and where.

Reading the result card

ADMIT: circle and check

Green fill, the word ADMIT, a circle with a check mark. Staff chose to let the guest in.

RECHECK ID: triangle and mark

Amber fill, the words RECHECK ID, a triangle with an alert mark. Look at the physical ID again, or ask more.

DENY: octagon and X

Red fill, the word DENY, an octagon with an X. Staff chose not to admit.

Never color alone. The shapes differ in silhouette so they read across a counter, and the brand’s lime accent is kept off result screens so it can never be mistaken for a status.

If something goes wrong. Phone dead? Show a physical ID and staff check it the usual way. No signal at the door? The app says it cannot confirm and asks staff for a manual check. Pass looks odd? Recheck. In every case, a person is in charge.
